Push and turn the runner tube knob(s) fully counter-clockwise to the on position. Insert a gas lighter flame through the oblong hole in the front panel. Check that the entire runner tube is lit by looking through the sight hole(s) located between the end burner knobs on the front panel. If the runner tube(s) will not light or stay lit, shut off the gas supply and do not use the unit. Wait 5 minutes before attempting to re-light the unit. After lighting the runner tube(s), open the desired burner valves and observe that the burners light completely from the runner tube(s).

Chafing dishes are kept hot with sterno. Sterno is a flammable gel that burns approximately 3-4 hours.

Safety Guidelines: Sterno cups become very hot. Please use caution when handling hot sterno cups and chafing dishes.

Operating Instructions: Pour hot water into water pan. To prevent boil-over, do not fill pan too full. Light the sterno to heat the water pan approximately ½ hour prior to serving. Put hot food into insert pan and set insert pan in water. Use lids on sterno cup to control flame/heat.

Linens

General Information: Tablecloths are available in square overlays, rectangular banquets, and numerous round sizes. All round cloths have a 2” slit in the center to accommodate umbrella use. Table skirts are 13’ x 29”, and include 3/4 “ Velcro clips. Skirts and cloths are available in various colors.

Caring for Linens: Guard against tears and burn damage. Be careful when using candles. Not only can they burn the tablecloths, but candle wax is also difficult to remove and does stain.

Return Instructions: Please shake linen free of all food particles and debris. Linens must be returned dry to prevent mildew damage. We do not recommend placing linens in plastic bags. If linens are wet, they will mildew. Also, it is not uncommon for linens in trash bags to be mistakenly thrown away.

Patio Equipment

Heater

General Information: The 8’ patio heater will heat a 12’ circle for approximately 10 hours. The recommended spacing between heaters is 12’. The heater is transported in a wooden box that is ___ x ___. Heaters are available with delivery/pick-up service only (no will calls).

Safety Guidelines: For outdoor use only. Do not use under patio overhang. Do not store in closed spaces (i.e., shed, garage). Minimum clearance required to adjacent combustible surfaces is as follows: top: 18”, sides: 24”, below: 84"

Lighting Instructions:
1. P
ush and turn the control knob to "pilot" position. The igniter will spark at the same time. Check pilot flame through the 1/2" match lighting hole. Firmly depress the knob for 15 seconds after lighting. If the pilot does not light, turn the control knob to "off" position. Try again. It might need two or three trials to light the pilot burner. Note: Allow one minute to purge air through pilot after connection with a new gas tank.
2. To turn heater on: turn control knob to "on" position.
3. To turn heater and pilot off: turn control knob to "pilot". Depress slightly & turn to "off" position. Wait five minutes after complete shutoff of heater before relighting pilot. Turn the gas tank off when heater is not in use.

Special note: An igniter has been built in as part of the gas control valve, which will be activated when the valve stem is depressed and turned counter-clockwise.

Umbrellas

General Information: Umbrellas are available in two basic styles. The most popular is the natural canvas “market” umbrella with wood frame. This umbrella is available in a 9’ diameter, which may be used freestanding behind buffet or beverage tables. It may also be used in a 48”, 60”, or 72” round table. It is also available in a 14’ diameter with a white metal frame. This size may only be used freestanding in a base, due to the overall weight and pole diameter. The standard patio umbrella has a 7’ diameter metal frame with a white vinyl cover, and may be used by inserting into the 48” or 60” tables only (not recommended for freestanding use). All umbrellas are non-tilting for shade applications only (not water resistant).

Tables

General Information: All tables have a ¾” varnished plywood top. The edges are finished with a plastic trim to prevent splitting. The legs are aluminum and fold flat. It is recommended that you use tablecloths on all tables, as even “new” tables are lacking in appearance.

Safety Guidelines: Please make certain that table legs are locked into position.

Operating Instructions: Do not use tables as cutting boards. Do not staple into tables.
